Louis,

All I can say is "WOW!"

What a huge improvement. I can't believe all the work that Behold is doing in such a short time when it opens.

Even if there were no other enhancements with this dot release, this would have been more than enough!

It's good so far. But there is still quite a bit of improvement possible. I hope to decrease the time taken in just about every new version that comes out.

Still, loading a large GEDCOM into Behold is like loading a several thousand page document into Microsoft Word. So there are limits - but even those can be whittled away with some research and experimentation.

When Version 0.98.9 comes out in a few weeks, there will yet another speed improvement. This one will be amazing: about 5 times faster!

Yet, I still see some places I can squeeze even more out before the Beta release.
