Woke up in the middle of the night, thinking about how I wanted to extend Behold in the future to include “Organizer” capabilities. So I dragged myself to my office and wrote down my thoughts. Basically, I need (for my own purposes) to integrate grouping of people, costing of events, to do lists, selection, addressing … the whole bit into a slick package that fits into Behold. Think of it as an organizing tool that builds in people’s relationships to each other. I came out with a structure that will work quite well.
I expect that this could be something that would be powerful enough for, say, a non-profit organization to track its memberships, its volunteers and the work they do, its events and attendance, its employees and their tasks, its donors and the types and amounts of the donations, and whatever else they can think of.
This will take time, but I would like to see the ultimate direction of Behold go that way. It would be incredibly useful.
So now my plan is that the first version will be: Behold - the Everything Report. Second version will be: Behold - the Genealogy Word Processor. And now the Third version will be: Behold - the Genealogy Word Processor/Organizer.
