How is the main family, for instance Cok-1 decided? The one selected is not the primary family that I am keying on. Possibly the user could select the primary family? Just trying to understand how this selection and numbering process works?

Kindest regards,
Beth G.

Good question! It is decided on the basis of who has the most significant collection of ancestors in the file. Auto Organize will always come up with the same primary family, unless the people in your GEDCOM significantly changes.

You can quite easily select different people to center the report on. This is done by adding new people to the Families page of the Organize window. From that window you can uncheck or delete people you don't want, and then use the Add button to bring up the Names window where you can add new people by selecting them, pressing +/- Family and then OK.

I will be adding a right-click option that will work directly from the Everything Report to allow you to add someone into the Family List.

Once you get the Families the way you want it, save the Organize information into a Behold file (with the Save... button at the bottom of the Organize window), so that you can open that file with your desired family settings.

This is more fully described in the Organizing Genealogy Data section of Quick Start in the Help file.
